Ricoh to Hold Photo Exhibition "50 Passion" Commemorating Magnum Photos Tokyo's 20th Anniversary

TOKYO, Nov. 19, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh Co. today announced that the exhibition "50 Passion" will be held starting December 15, 2010, at its RING CUBE photo gallery located in the Ginza district of Tokyo.

This photo exhibition is being held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Magnum Photos Tokyo. Known as an organization of photojournalists, Magnum Photos members include many photographers who are masters of capturing the moment. Instants of illumination discovered in the flow of casual everyday scenes have been caught in photos that transcend national and generational boundaries. Held at the RING CUBE gallery, the exhibition brings together the photographs of all 50 full members of Magnum Photos, with the images being selected primarily from among their latest works shot out in the field. Ricoh is confident that gallery visitors will fully experience the talent and thematic diversity that have characterized the members of Magnum Photos from the organization's founding until the present day.
