Ricardo Cedillo Named One of the 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century

SAN ANTONIO, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Lawyer magazine has named Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc. founder and shareholder Ricardo G. Cedillo one of the 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century.  He is the only practicing attorney in San Antonio to receive the honor.  The award honors attorneys who have significantly impacted the Texas legal landscape over the last 25 years.

Mr. Cedillo was recognized for his successful defenses of big name companies such as AT & T, Clear Channel, DuPont, Hilton Hotels Corp., Lorillard Tobacco, Merck & Co., Monsanto Co., Playboy Enterprises, United Technologies Corp., Valero Energy, Viacom, Inc., and Wyeth. More than 475 attorneys throughout the state of Texas -- each of whom has made outstanding legal contributions during Texas Lawyer's 25 year history -- were nominated for the award.

A native of Mexico, Mr. Cedillo moved to the United States when he was six years old and credits time spent working in his family's West Side bakery for his strong work ethic. He holds degrees from St. Mary's University, Trinity University, and Harvard Law School.

On October 1, 2010, Mr. Cedillo and the 24 other award recipients will be honored at an awards luncheon at the Belo Mansion in Dallas, Texas.
