COLLEGE PARK, Md., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Goozex, Inc., the leading online video game and movie trading community, announced today it will expand the company's award winning trading service to include retro games. The site will now allow users to trade their Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, and Atari 2600 games with other members. Trading retro games on the hassle-free automatic Goozex trading system lets gamers of all types get the most value out of their home collections and play other games at little cost.
Over 6,000 new titles will become available for trading on the newly added eight console platforms. In a company estimate, members have already saved over $6.4 million by using Goozex for their online video game trading as compared to traditional brick-and-mortar used game shops. Retro game trading will be under beta while Goozex receives user feedback.
To start trading retro games on Goozex, members will simply request or offer titles in their trading queues as they normally would for other gaming and movie platforms. Goozex will find an automatic peer-to-peer match for users once they have added titles to their queues. Users will package and ship directly between themselves allowing them to retain the maximum value of their classic games.
Jonathan Dugan, COO and co-founder of Goozex, notes the long time demand for adding retro game trading on Goozex. "Since we launched our site in 2006, a frequently asked question has been about adding classic game system titles to our service. We're happy to say that we are going to meet that demand. Our focus has been to become the best in online game trading and adding retro titles to our service helps maintain that vision. Like many of our members, we're excited about trading classic games from the titles that started it all!"
