Retrieve Technologies is ramping up after securing 10 million dollars in venture capital funding. This week, the company moved into a 10,000 square foot space to accommodate the new employees. Retrieve Technologies has developed a unique video communications platform for businesses to share information and improve training in a mobile world. It is the third company founded by successful entrepreneur Dave Arnold of Henniker. Says Arnold, "We have deep roots in NH and are looking forward to growing our company here. It's exciting to see that the tools we created are making it easy and affordable for companies to use video to communicate with their employees, customers, and partners. Our mobile apps enable businesses to create and organize video content on a professional platform so it's entirely searchable and easily retrieved. The platform also controls distribution of that video content."
Retrieve Technologies President Jude McColgan added, "The old way of paper and meetings is too slow and too expensive. Every company wants to go faster and be mobile. We use video technology and a mobile platform to deliver knowledge efficiently." The company sites a recent government training contract where 1500 users needed information across 30 sites in three weeks. Retrieve Technology was awarded the 250 thousand dollar contract and saved the USDA $1.4M. The company is currently working on ideas for cost saving projects with the states and business in North America.
At Wednesday's ribbon cutting event, NH Governor Maggie Hassan said, "With our low-tax environment, highly skilled workforce, small, responsive state government and high quality of life, New Hampshire is as attractive a state for growing businesses as any in the country. We were recently ranked as the fifth-best state for entrepreneurship, as the seventh-best state in the Tax Foundation business tax climate index, and as the best state to live and the best state to earn a living. Retrieve Technologies' growth reinforces those advantages for our innovative businesses, and I am happy to celebrate Retrieve as another example of our growing tech sector creating good jobs."
Michelline Dufort, Director of Business Relations for the NH High Tech Council, said, "Today's event signals the start of a long relationship between the Council and Retrieve Technologies. Retrieve is helping bolster the ever-important tech industry in NH. Retrieve's knowledge apps were recently a finalist for Product of The Year. It's encouraging to witness the company's growth."
