Restore America's Legacy Providing a Voice for Young Americans
A new political action committee forms to protect the interests of Young Americans
PRINCETON, N.J., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Restore America's Legacy (RAL) is a new political action committee formed to advance the interests of Young Americans. As an underrepresented constituency, Young Americans are bearing the brunt of the current administration's policies that have created unprecedented unemployment and an enormous national debt.
The premise of RAL is that Young Americans have just as much right to the American legacy of opportunity and prosperity as previous generations. The current crop of politicians, however, is supporting short-sighted, government empowering policies that are limiting freedoms, choices and opportunities for Young Americans, while compiling an enormous national debt they have no intention of paying off.
Young Americans are notoriously underrepresented among the countless lobbyists, special interests, and advocacy groups in Washington. Such organizations spend millions every year to influence policy, promoting narrow parochial interests, often to the detriment of the rest of the country.
RAL takes a different approach. Unlike most special interests in Washington, Young Americans have significant long-term interests stretching far beyond the next election cycle or even the next decade. RAL promotes these long-term interests through its Five Core Principles, which were established at the founding of our country and are responsible for the freedom and prosperity of America today. RAL supports candidates in competitive congressional and senate races that support these Five Core Principles.
The candidate selection criteria employed by RAL is detailed on the website at www.restoreamericaslegacy.com. In short, RAL supports candidates with real world experience who'll support policies consistent with the Five Core Principles. Career politicians are excluded.
For those not familiar with current issues, the RAL website also provides easy to access information on current events and important political issues that affect Young Americans. The website also provides examples of how the Five Core Principles apply to current issues, and how current politicians have ignored these principles.
RAL is reaching out to conservatives, libertarians, Independents, Republicans, Democrats, moderates, high income and low income Americans of every race, religion and ethnic background. RAL believes the Five Core Principles are beneficial to all Americans and seeks to inform those that may be unfamiliar with the issues as well as persuade those that may hold different opinions.
