Residents of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, to Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Enhancements
New Cell Site Means Clearer Reception, Fewer Dropped Calls
BROOKLYN PARK, Minn., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Brooklyn Park, which enables more customers to use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive email and text, picture and video messages, access the Internet, view high-quality videos, and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
The cell site, located near the Edinburgh Golf Course on 85th Avenue North improves coverage at the course and as follows:
- North to State Highway 610;
- South to Brookdale Drive North;
- East to State Highway 252; and
- West to Noble Avenue North.
"This new cell site was built to ensure that our customers in Brooklyn Park can rely on their wireless devices for everything from making calls and sending messages to surfing the Internet and getting email," said Nancy Clark, president–Great Plains, Verizon Wireless. "The most advanced device is only as good as the network it runs on. Network reliability is the No. 1 reason that customers choose and stay with Verizon Wireless."
This new cell site is part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Minnesota and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $55 billion since it was formed—$5.5 billion on average every year—to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services. In 2009 alone, the company invested $7 billion to expand and advance its network.
