Reserve Your car2go From The Shower: car2go Skill For Amazon Alexa Now Makes That Possible

"The ability to now find and reserve a nearby car2go with a simple voice command via Amazon Alexa helps take the car2go membership experience to a new level of fun, simplicity and convenience."

The new car2go skill for Amazon Alexa is available free of charge. To use the car2go skill, car2go members simply enable the skill, then link their car2go account in the Alexa app.  This functionality effectively makes the car2go experience available from the comfort of a car2go member's own home – even from the sofa.

The command "Alexa, ask car2go where the nearest car is" triggers Alexa to search for the nearest available car2go and calculate the distance by foot from the member's home. "Alexa, tell car2go that I want to reserve a car", enables car2go members to reserve a car2go for up to 30 minutes. Additionally, car2go members can Alexa ask how much longer their car2go reservation is valid for, or cancel their reservation if they need. The car2go app is still required in order to open a car2go and start or end the car2go rental process.

The new car2go skill for Amazon Alexa is currently available in the U.S., Germany and Austria.
