ReSec Technologies Expands Engagement with Bezeq the Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd. to Secure Files from all Sources
Largest telecommunications group in Israel expands agreement with ReSec; Utilizes full suite of ReSecure solutions to secure files from all sources, including internal partitioning
NEW YORK and TEL AVIV, Israel, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - ReSec Technologies, developer of innovative enterprise-grade solutions to prevent malware penetration of networks, endpoints, and data centers, today announced it is expected to expand into a phase two deployment with Bezeq The Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd, (TASE: BEZQ), Israel's leading telecommunications provider.
ReSec provides Bezeq cyber protection through its ReSecure platform, featuring the Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) technology, to defend against known and unknown malware, and provide threat-free access to fully functional files arriving via FTP, file transfer and endpoints. After proving itself as a powerful shield in these channels, ReSecure is now in process to expand its coverage to protect Bezeq's email, web and digital vaults.
"We are thrilled to expand our engagement with Bezeq, a globally-respected organization," said Dotan Bar Noy, CEO and Co-Founder of ReSec. "It is an honor to deliver protection via our CDR technology for this multi-billion-dollar company, its thousands of employees, and millions of customers and stakeholders."
"ReSec's ReSecure platform has delivered the highest level of security with minimal interference to our business flow," said Haim Miller, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Bezeq. "Our organization manages millions of files per day across over 6,000 employees and numerus partners, so deploying ReSec's CDR technology to secure email and web content, and preventing even more threats from entering our systems was extremely appealing to our team."
At the beginning of Bezeq's engagement with ReSec, the company's existing policies did not allow for sharing of files via its customer and sub-contractors support portal, preventing it from realizing its full potential. The granular policies used to enforce the segmentation were too restrictive for internal traffic, demanding that IT personnel manually approve the transfer of information within the organization. Today, the organization works free of threat, facilitating information sharing and increasing speed and productivity. Customer and sub-contractor can share content in a secure immediate fashion.
"Internal security and protecting our customers is a top priority," added Dudu Tapiro, Information Security Manager at Bezeq. "In addition to enhanced compliance with regulatory requirements, we quickly saw enhanced employee productivity and satisfaction, as they can freely exchange information through email, web content and even USB devices, without getting our IT team involved."
