Renowned Brazilian Editor announces 'Tá Pronto' web cooking series for Brazilian-American cuisine

LOS ANGELES, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Brazilian editor Luiz Schiel is announcing the new web series, Tá Pronto, a cooking show that will cover both Brazilian and American cuisine. Schiel is hosting and editing the series, which is expected to begin shooting in August and will release in October on the YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/taprontobr

Each episode will focus on preparing authentic Brazilian or American food and will feature guest chefs and media personalities who will perform recipes step by step.

Brazilian TV reporter Felipe Andreoli, known from the award winning comedy news series Custe o Que Custar (Whatever the Cost), will serve as guest chef for the pilot episode. Brazilian style pancakes with sugar cane are first up on the show's menu.

"We want to make everything fun to watch for teenagers and adults who will want to cook at home," Schiel said. "I will probably do a lot of color correcting, dynamic after effects and cutting. We want to make this food beautiful to watch and make the audience want to eat it."

Season one will have a 12-episode run. The first six episodes are scheduled to shoot in Brazil and the remaining six episodes are to be filmed in the U.S.

Eduardo Zorzatto and Julia Pereira, editors for Rede Bandeirantes de Televisão, are partnering with Schiel to produce Tá Pronto.

Schiel, one of Brazil's top film and TV editors, is known for editing the TV news series, Legendários, for Rede Record de Televisão. Legendários won the Best Web Show award at the Brazilian Youth Awards and is broadcast in 280 different countries and online.

Schiel's other editing credits include the Rede Bandeirantes de Televisão shows Deu Olé, Dia Dia and Zoo. He's also edited for MootsaTV!, SneakersBR, Carnaval 2013, O Aprendiz (The Apprentice) and New Kids on the Blog.

Schiel attended film school at the University Anhembi Morumbi and the New York Film Academy, where he edited the short films, Rubik, OCD, Exit, Self, Woman and Positive.
