Award-Winning Actor and Late-Night Host James Corden To Serve as Master of Ceremonies
LOS ANGELES, April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 500 luminaries will gather to honor philanthropists, author, social activist and psychologist Dr. Cheryl Saban and entertainment industry leader and pioneer Haim Saban at the third bi-annual Rebels With a Cause gala, May 11, 2016 at the Barker Hangar. The evening benefits the groundbreaking research led by David B. Agus, MD, Director of the Westside Cancer Center and the Center for Applied Molecular Medicine (CAMM) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Sandy and David Ellison along with Skydance Media are Co-Chairs. C.L. Max Nikias, President of the University of Southern California, is Honorary Co-Chair.
Tony Award winner James Corden, host of The Late Late Show, will emcee. Sixteen-time Grammy Award-Winner David Foster returns as Musical Director. Special guest performances to be announced. Internationally acclaimed director and producer Don Mischer is set to produce.
Cheryl Saban, Ph.D., writer, psychologist, a former Public Delegate to the United Nations, philanthropist and advocate for women and children founded The Cheryl Saban Self-Worth Foundation for Women and Girls which assists charitable organizations in the aiding, advancement and empowerment of girls and women. Dr. Saban is also President of the Saban Family Foundation, established alongside her husband Haim in 1999, to support children's medical and educational programs, and other community needs.

The USC Center for Applied Molecular Medicine was founded at the Keck School of Medicine in 2009 by David B. Agus, M.D., to develop new cross-disciplinary approaches to treating and preventing cancer. The Center includes team members with expertise spanning oncology, cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, computer science, electrical engineering, bioorganic chemistry, physics and applied mathematics.
