RCC Associates Completes Construction of South Beach-style Nightclub
Club LIV Opens New Experience for NFL Fans at Sun Life Stadium
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Working on a very tight 24/7 time schedule, South Florida-based general contractor RCC Associates helped Miami Dolphins Owner Steve Ross score a major victory with the launch of the most talked about new club experience in South Florida—Club LIV, a mix of South Beach and football at Sun Life Stadium.
Club LIV, a 10,000-square-foot private club located on the stadium's 200 and 300 levels, opened with a celebrity filled gala, Sunday, September 26th during the Miami Dolphins home game with the New York Jets. Joining the throng of fans attending the opening were the Miami HEAT's "Three Kings" Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, Fergie, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony among others.
Modeled on the Fontainebleau Hotel's Club LIV on Miami Beach, the chic upscale construction plans for the new Sun Life Stadium club was another day at the office for RCC, which has honed a well-earned national reputation for its work with internationally known retailers and restaurants over a 39-year history.
"The construction schedule was very tight and the expectations very high, but its not an unusual challenge for RCC," said Robyn Raphael, the construction manager, who has overseen several recent projects at the 23-year-old stadium.
Raphael said special features included construction of a stairway connecting the two levels, bars, DJ station with sound system, dance floor, personal cabanas and a full, professional kitchen.
Earlier this year, RCC formed a division to specialize in new construction and renovations for private clubs and sports facilities, country clubs, resorts and wellness centers.
"Because of our reputation we are really beginning to attract new customers in this niche area of construction," said CEO Beverly Raphael.
The South Florida-based RCC Associates, which has built more than 1,500 projects in 25 states over the course of its 39-year history, earlier this year completed the renovation of the historic 5,872-square-foot Beach Club at Fisher Island—a world-class private island residential community off Miami Beach, Florida. Also underway is the renovation of Mizner Country Club in Boca Raton.
Earlier this year RCC also tackled another very time sensitive project for Sun Life Stadium (previously known as Land Shark Stadium) involving renovation of 60 concessions and the NFL owner's suites, proving its ability to work out of the company's normal client base core group of retailers and restaurants. Overall RCC has handled more than half-a-dozen jobs for the Miami Dolphins management group, which included the stadium, training camp and a new cheerleader's facility.
