Raytheon SureView™ Incorporates Business Intelligence Reporting for 64-bit Windows Operating Systems
Solution captures policy violations and malicious acts; proactively reports information breaches
SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) recent release of its SureView 6.6 information-protection solution includes support for 64-bit computing. It also improves reporting capabilities, moving from an Excel-based format to a more standard and fully featured infrastructure based on JasperReports, an open source Java reporting tool.
SureView captures malicious activity by proactively auditing end-user behavior on computer endpoints for policy violations and high-risk activity such as accessing classified or proprietary data and trying to send it outside the firewall. Whether an incident is accidental or deliberate, SureView provides customers complete visibility to fix broken policies or business procedures all while respecting employee privacy guidelines.
"An organization's intellectual property, its discoveries, inventions, trademarks, patents and trade secrets are its lifeblood," said Steve Hawkins, vice president of Raytheon's Information Security Solutions product line. "Recent security breaches of classified documents show how easily information can be exploited, especially from a trusted insider, and stress the need for powerful information-protection solutions."
The enhanced reporting capability of SureView 6.6 enables interactive data analysis and search to look for meaningful correlations or individual anomalies that merit further investigation, rapidly generating metrics and reports for management response. For example, SureView can rapidly provide answers to questions useful in investigations such as "Is the activity pattern of this user typical of other users in their work role?" or "Who are the top 10 users in terms of pages printed this week?" Also, with JasperReports, users can produce documents that can be viewed, printed or exported in a variety of document formats, including HTML, PDF, OpenOffice and Microsoft Word, in addition to Microsoft Excel.
