Quantum Plastics Acquires 3D Plastics, Inc.

ELGIN, Ill., March 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Plastics, LLC announced today that it has acquired 3D Plastics, Inc. ('3D'). 

This acquisition reflects Quantum Plastics' ongoing focus on expanding its North American footprint while breaking into new manufacturing industries. 

3D is an ISO 9001:2008 certified injection molding and blow molding facility located in Gladewater, Texas; about 1.5 hours east of Dallas.  3D's injection and blow molding machines manufacture plastic parts for the automotive, food and beverage, and firearm industries.  Most notably, 3D molds seatbelt parts and firearm ammunition components.  Morris Rowlett, Quantum Plastics Chief Executive Officer said, "With this acquisition, Quantum Plastics is demonstrating its commitment to growth and diversifying its portfolio of industries and capabilities.  The talented team at 3D Plastics are a welcomed asset and resource and we look forward to expanding our scope and programs together."
