"Having spent the last five years in this market, I'm excited to now take on the Market Managing Partner role," said Pounds. "PwC has an outstanding client base in the Carolinas, serving many of the largest public and private companies throughout the two states. Our focus will be on sustaining the strong growth and client relationships that we have enjoyed here by continuing to provide our clients with the quality service they have come to expect from PwC. I also look forward to continuing to drive our investments in the community including our 'Earn Your Future' program, which is focused on increasing financial literacy among school-aged children."
Pounds has been with PwC since 1988 and was admitted to the partnership in 1999. He began his career with the firm in Birmingham, AL before relocating to Florham Park, NJ, where he served in a number of client service and internal firm positions. Pounds relocated to the Charlotte office in 2008, and prior to assuming the MMP role, served as the Assurance Leader for PwC's Carolinas market. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA. Pounds is a Certified Public Accountant in Alabama, North Carolina, and New Jersey.
