MEXICO CITY, March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TV Azteca, S.A. de C.V. (BMV: TVAZTCA; Latibex: XTZA), one of the two largest producers of Spanish-language television programming in the world, announced that Proyecto 40, a pluralistic television alternative in Mexico, celebrated four years of providing content that helps to consolidate a more informed and free society.
Ricardo Salinas, President and Founder of Grupo Salinas, hosted the celebration yesterday in Mexico City, and emphasized the need to continue seeking "a different television, a TV for a free Mexico; for people who want to think and understand, and pursue something more."
In front of an audience composed by more than 500 people, among intellectuals, officials, columnists, commentators, media personalities and staff members, Mr. Salinas was pleased and proud to know that in these four years Proyecto 40 has constructed a top quality television.
Luis Armando Melgar, Proyecto 40´s Director, said: "We have evolved to become a television that educates and entertains, which makes the difference, which leads the way, which drives the niche television in our country.
