WASHINGTON, Jan. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and pro-life leaders Abby Johnson, Lila Rose and Jill Stanek will speak at Family Research Council's Pro-Life Conference, or "ProLifeCon," the sixth annual premier gathering of pro-life online activists two days after the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

The event will be held at FRC headquarters at 801 G Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
Rep. Scalise is in his second full term representing Louisiana's First District, after winning a special election in May, 2008. He is known as a committed conservative and an advocate for life. An Assistant Republican Whip, he is also a recipient of FRC Action's True Blue award for his consistent defense of family, faith and freedom in Congress.
Abby Johnson is author of "Unplanned," the story of her conversion from Planned Parenthood director to pro-life activist. She worked and volunteered for Planned Parenthood for eight years before seeing an abortion on an ultrasound drove her from her work and to a new life in Christ.
Lila Rose is President of Live Action, a pro-life activist organization for young people. She is a frequent guest on radio and television programs, and has been featured on The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity's America, The Glenn Beck Show, EWTN and The Laura Ingraham Show. Numerous newspapers and blogs have also covered her work, including feature pieces by Reuters, the LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Times and National Review. The Associated Press and UPI frequently publish stories on Live Action's work, and Lila speaks at national and international pro-life events.
Jill Stanek is an online activist. She exposed Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill. for performing abortions and allowing live babies to die. Since then she has become a highly quoted pro-life expert. She was also named "Worst Person in the World!" by Keith Olbermann for her pro-life writing.
In addition to these leaders, the conference will feature such prominent pro-life leaders as Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, Dean Nelson from Care Net, David Bereit of 40 Days for Life, Ryan Scott Bomberger from The Radiance Foundation, Terrence McKeegan of C-FAM, Kristan Hawkins from Students for Life and Jeanne Monahan and Cathy Ruse of Family Research Council. Speakers will discuss new opportunities for the pro-life movement as recent polls show a growing majority of Americans identify themselves as pro-life. They will also lay out strategies to advance pro-life legislation with the support of the new pro-life majority in the House of Representatives.
The event will also Webcast live on www.frc.org, providing an opportunity for pro-life bloggers and social media activists to participate in the March, even if they cannot travel to Washington, D.C.
