STOUGHTON, Mass., Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Primo Medical Group announced today that it organized a golf tournament held on September 2, 2015 which successfully raised over $190,000.00 to support The Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation (OIUF). "Primo Medical Group is pleased to give back to the community by being the lead sponsor of this event, It is important for our employees, vendors, customers, family and friends to know how grateful we are for their participation and support," said company CEO Steven Tallarida. "The tournament brought together over 240 individuals comprised of golfers and volunteers on a beautiful day at The Pine Hills Golf Course in Plymouth, MA. We couldn't be happier with the turnout and with the generous support of all the attendees," said Andrea Patisteas, Senior Executive VP at Primo Medical Group, whose daughter Mia Resendes has been treated for uveitis since December 2010.
Guest speakers included Dr. C. Stephen Foster, founder of OIUF and Massachusetts Eye Research & Surgery Institution, 16 year old Mia Resendes, and Jay Jay French, founder of Twisted Sister, whose daughter also has uveitis.
The Golf Tournament was originally created because of Mia's desire to support the work that has benefitted her.
