PRC Call Center to Celebrate 4th Anniversary in Jacksonville
Local Employees Pledge 500 Hours, $12,000 to Community Organizations for 2010
JACKSONVILLE, N.C., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- PRC, LLC (www.prcnet.com), a premier provider of outsourced customer contact management services, announced today that the company will mark its fourth anniversary as a member of the Jacksonville community with a celebration at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 25 in the PRC offices at 1650 Gum Branch Rd.
As part of the celebration, local employees will pledge to contribute 500 hours of community service and raise $12,000 to support nonprofit service organizations in the Jacksonville area through PRC Community Care, a company-wide initiative that encourages and enables PRC employees to take an active role in improving their local communities. Each month throughout 2010, PRC employees will participate in a specific volunteer activity, raise money or collect items for donation to local organizations that address children's issues and domestic violence, as well as national organizations such as the Children's Miracle Network, St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Toys for Tots.

During the March 25 event, PRC officials will also announce the company's hiring plans for 2010, which could provide opportunities for up to 300 job seekers in the area. The company's bustling call center currently employs around 400, handling in-bound customer service calls for clients in the telecommunications and financial industries. Just last year, the company invested $1 million in upgrades to the Jacksonville center, including new employee workstations, technology and computer upgrades and other improvements to the facility. Employees have also been active in the PRC Community Care program, but plan to commit additional resources to help expand their outreach efforts.
"We've been very active over the past few years, participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the Support our Troops Campaign and Literacy Month, donating more than 700 books to the local Boys and Girls Clubs," said Jacksonville General Manager Sean Hampton. "We're looking forward to working with several new organizations this year and I hope that what we're doing inspires other individuals and companies to get involved."
Representatives from local nonprofit organizations that have signed on to participate in the PRC Community Cares initiatives will also be on hand to announce plans for the coming year. The Onslow Women's Shelter, The Second Chance Mission, One Warm Coat, The Pajama Program and the Salvation Army Eastern Territory Toy Drive are all local organizations on the list to receive aid from PRC employees.
