Poplar Healthcare Acquires Bostwick Laboratories

MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Poplar Healthcare, a leading laboratory services company headquartered in Memphis, TN, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Bostwick Laboratories, a specialty anatomic pathology laboratory focused on the diagnosis of cancer.

Bostwick Laboratories is a leader in urologic pathology with expertise and a growing presence in the dermatology, gastroenterology, gynecology, and nephrology sectors of the anatomic pathology market. Poplar Healthcare has acquired all of the operating assets of Bostwick Laboratories including the customers, inventory, and equipment at Bostwick Laboratories facilities in Uniondale, New York; Orlando, Florida; and Glen Allen, Virginia.

Bostwick customers will receive access to an expanded menu of tests and services via Poplar Healthcare's extensive menu of molecular testing services which will be available through Bostwick Laboratories. In addition, Poplar Healthcare will gain a leading renal pathology laboratory and additional sub-specialized pathologists.
