Playdom Announces David Sobeski as Chief Technology Officer
Social gaming company hires seasoned Yahoo! and Microsoft executive to lead technology initiatives
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Playdom, a leading social gaming company, announced today it has hired David Sobeski, former executive at Yahoo! and Microsoft, to join as Chief Technology Officer.

David served as a Senior Vice President at Yahoo! delivering Yahoo!'s Open Strategy and Data platform as well as driving products and innovation for the CEO. In addition, David drove Yahoo to open its network to 3rd parties to drive social integration into Yahoo!. Prior to joining to Yahoo!, David served in various executive roles at Microsoft ranging from driving the experience of Windows Vista, to delivering mobility into Microsoft Exchange Server to driving the technical strategy with the CTO. David also was a leader in MSN.com, the creation of Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine and the creation of Internet Explorer. David has also been an advisor to various technology companies to deliver great products throughout the years.
David is a lifelong gamer, cutting his teeth on the Atari 2600 and playing games on every console, PC and Mac. In his spare time David writes fun casual games for his own enjoyment on his iPhone.
