PJM Named to Companies That Care Honor Roll
VALLEY FORGE, Pa., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- PJM Interconnection, the electricity grid operator for 13 states and the District of Columbia, is one of only 29 U.S. businesses named to the nationally acclaimed Companies That Care Honor Roll. PJM was recognized for providing a supportive work environment for employees and continuing commitment to community service.
PJM was selected by the Center for Companies That Care, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and celebrating businesses that prize their employees and are committed to community service.

This national initiative supports childhood literacy by providing age-appropriate books to classroom libraries with limited resources. PJM will support this initiative through an employee fundraising campaign to purchase a classroom library for Whitehall Elementary School in Norristown. Companies That Care launched the campaign today.
"We are honored to once again be recognized by the Companies That Care," said Nora Swimm, vice president – Business and Member Services. "PJM continues to create and foster a positive work environment and empowers its employees to make a difference in their communities. We are committed to providing a workplace that values each employee and supports their community service efforts."
Candidates for the honor roll are evaluated by employee survey data and an independent panel of seasoned business professionals. The complete list of companies recognized this year and additional information on Companies That Care is available at www.companies-that-care.org.
