pingmd Co-Founder and Chairman to Present at California Health Information Association Convention & Exhibit

Dr. Gopal K. Chopra is the co-founder and chairman of pingmd, Inc. He is an experienced neurosurgeon and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of strategic advisory, investment and operational experience in the healthcare sector and has worked on many new-frontier technologies in their nascent stage as well as with large cap private and public companies across developed and emerging markets. Dr. Chopra practiced neurosurgery and developed as well as researched frame-shift technology integration including intravascular catheter systems, robotic surgery, surgical navigation technologies and clinical information systems, with many patents to his name. His experience includes a faculty position at Stanford University, business development at Boston Scientific and Hansen Medical, investment banking at Lazard Frères and advising roles at large and small cap healthcare companies. He is also an associate professor at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Virtual care encompasses the integration of technologies that span the health care infrastructure. At the upcoming California Health Information Association (CHIA) Convention & Exhibit, Dr. Gopal Chopra will address the topic of "Virtual Care – Engaging Patients and Networks."

This presentation will review the new ecosystems and inefficiencies in current care delivery with new technologies, examining the trends of technology usage, and exploring use case solutions to solve timely and proactive care management.
