PhotoPlus Expo and WPPI NYC Attract 22,000+ Visitors to See Latest Technologies From 250+ Exhibitors
Exhibitors Credit Show with Record-Breaking Customer Leads and Attendees Continue Urge to Learn with High Attendance of Educational Seminars and Keynotes
NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nielsen Photo Group (NPG) announced today that its annual PDN PhotoPlus International Conference + Expo attracted more than 22,000 professional photographers and photo enthusiasts to learn about the latest digital imaging products and services from more than 250 exhibitors. Attendees showed their enthusiasm and desire to learn about the latest photographic techniques and business practices by attending an extensive schedule of seminars and keynote presentations in near-record numbers. Attendees also became more than spectators at this year's show as many exhibitors state that PhotoPlus Expo 2011 provided record-breaking leads for some and overall increase in customer leads and traffic, for most.

"We are extremely pleased with the traffic at this year's show but more importantly our exhibitors were very pleased with the turnout, booth activity, and willingness attendees showed toward purchasing products and services," says Jeff McQuilkin, Group Show Director for The Nielsen Company. "Our educational seminars were very well attended, which is a further indication that industry professionals and enthusiasts continue to want to learn about the latest techniques from industry experts."
"PhotoPlus Expo is the most important photo industry show in the U.S. for Think Tank Photo," explains Chris Butcher, National Sales Manager for Think Tank Photo. "We have a unique opportunity to meet with photographers who are industry leaders and see innovative products from major manufacturers as well as creative startups. This year Think Tank brought more staff and more bags than ever and we could barely keep up with the number of interested people who came to our booth."
Brad Malcolm, President of Athentech, which produces Perfectly Clear image correction software, concurred. "We noticed a record number of downloads of our 30-day free trial during the three days of PhotoPlus Expo. The level of interest and willingness by attendees to take a closer look at our software was incredible. If we can translate a good majority of the downloads into actual sales after the show, PhotoPlus Expo will be the best show for us during 2011."
PDN PhotoPlus Expo 2012 will be held from October 25-27, 2012 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York.
