Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Signs House, Senate Bills
HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today signed into law the following bills:
House Bill 728 (P.N. 3887) – This bill amends the Combustible and Flammable Liquids Act, providing new regulations and signage requirements for service stations.
House Bill 1478 (P.N. 1785) – This bill amends The County Code, which provides authorization of the Hotel Room Rental Tax, by sanctioning an increase of the county tax to a maximum of 7 percent.
House Bill 1617 (P.N. 3058) – This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles), which provides for the suspension of operating privilege for failure to respond to a citation or summons, by adding failure to pay restitution to the list of grounds for suspension.
Senate Bill 367 (P.N. 2349) – This bill establishes the Indigenous Mineral Resource Development Act, allowing the Department of General Services to make and execute contracts or leases for the mining or removal of coal, oil, natural gas, coal bed methane and limestone found in or beneath land owned by the state or state system of higher education.
