Pelosi Names Daniel J. Strodel as Interim Chief Administrative Officer
WASHINGTON, July 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that she will appoint Daniel J. Strodel as Interim Chief Administrative Officer. Strodel, who currently serves as a senior advisor to the Committee on House Administration, has more than two decades of experience in management and legal issues on Capitol Hill. His service in the House includes positions with the Office of the Clerk, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer and Office of the Sergeant at Arms. Additionally, Strodel previously worked in the Office of the Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Capitol Police. The Speaker will swear in Strodel on the House floor this afternoon.
During his time on Capitol Hill, Strodel has served at almost every level of management, from first-line supervisor to division director to executive leadership. As a senior advisor to the Committee on House Administration, Strodel currently advises the Committee on management and oversight of the operations under its jurisdiction.

Strodel holds a juris doctorate from the Catholic University of America and a bachelor's degree from Hobart College. He will replace outgoing Chief Administrative Officer Dan Beard. Strodel will officially assume the duties of CAO on July 18, 2010.
