PBS Frontline's 'Digital Nation: Life on the Virtual Frontier' Available On-Demand From Verizon FiOS TV
FiOS TV Customers Will Be Able to See the Innovative Documentary From March 22 Until April 4
NEW YORK, March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- PBS Frontline's documentary "Digital Nation: Life on the Virtual Frontier" will be available on Verizon's FiOS TV Video on Demand (VOD), starting Monday (March 22).
The documentary is the centerpiece of an ongoing, multiplatform initiative exploring the impact of the Web and digital media on life in the 21st century, and also includes streaming video reports, user-submitted photos and a series of interactive roundtable discussions. The project is funded through a $1 million grant from the Verizon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Verizon. "Digital Nation" will be available on FiOS TV VOD until Sunday (April 4).
In addition, viewers can examine a series of free online workshops for parents and teachers, created by PBS Frontline in conjunction with the documentary at Verizon Thinkfinity (www.thinkfinity.org).
Verizon Thinkfinity is a free educational Web site for teachers, parents, students and after-school programs. It contains thousands of engaging educational resources, podcasts and videos that make learning fun.
