ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 10, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA), among the nation's leading organizations in poverty reduction and disaster response, announced today that Patrick Lencioni will serve as one of the keynote speakers during CCUSA's 2013 Annual Gathering in San Francisco, California.
Named by Fortune magazine as one of the 'ten new gurus you should know,' Lencioni is founder and president of The Table Group, a firm dedicated to providing organizations with ideas, products and services that improve teamwork, clarity and employee engagement.
"The efficacy of our Catholic Charities agencies is central to our network's ability to serve over 10 million individuals living in poverty a year. Patrick's holistic and comprehensive approach to enhancing organizational health and capacity is insightful and inspiring," said Rev. Larry Snyder, President of CCUSA. "The dedicated people who serve those in poverty every day through our agencies will walk away from this conversation feeling energized and ready to apply what they've learned."
Lencioni is the author of ten best-selling books with over three million copies sold. After eleven years in print, his book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team continues to be a fixture on national best-seller lists. His latest book, The Advantage: Why Organizational Health Trumps Everything Else in Business, became an immediate national bestseller.
Lencioni's keynote will take place Monday, September 16, 2013 at 8:30am. In addition to leading a workshop, he will be signing copies of his latest book later that day.
The Annual Gathering will also include a series of workshops and panels on the most important issues facing our country and Catholic Charities. The sessions span a wide range of critical human services subjects from immigration and food insecurity, to the need to reform our approach to how our country views poverty reduction and creating greater sustainability in moving people out of poverty.
A special highlight of the national conference will be the return engagement of the Sojourn Theatre Group, who, for the second year in a row, will immerse themselves in the entire Conference program, interacting directly with attendees, to create and ultimately perform a moving and insightful finale presentation.
