Panasonic Launches the LUMIX Luminary Lounge, a New Social Community for Hybrid Photographers
New Community Allows Photographers and LUMIX Fans to Interact, Share Content
NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic is pleased to announce today's launch of its new social community for Hybrid Photographers, the LUMIX Luminary Lounge. Hybrid photography and other photo content will be hosted by the LUMIX Luminary Photographers and sponsored by Panasonic. Hybrid Photography is the combining of still, video and audio as a popular form of photographic display in tune with the social media world we live in. This is the first photo community centered on a true social media experience. Users who join the community through various social media channels have the opportunity to interact with the LUMIX Luminary Photographers, a group of photography professionals and enthusiasts hand selected by Panasonic as ambassadors for the brand.
A second phase to the community will incorporate Google+ Hangouts with the LUMIX Luminary Photographer team, fan interaction through Instagram, new Luminary Photographer biographies' and enhanced Facebook interaction. The site currently supports Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
To kick things off the LUMIX Luminary Team has created "The GX7 Change your Perspective Tour" to promote Hybrid Photography to Panasonic dealers throughout the USA. As ambassadors for the Lumix G brand, the LUMIX Luminary Team will begin their journey in Chicago armed with the latest LUMIX Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) Camera, the DMC-GX7, which features high photographic performance and allows photographers to change their viewing perspective with a high color accuracy integrated 90-degree tiltable LVF(Live View Finder). The LUMIX Luminary Photographers will post Hybrid and Still imagery throughout the tour and will interact with fans through tweets.
