Pampers Celebrates a Sports-Filled Father's Day With Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees and Family at Yankee Stadium
NEW YORK, June 21, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Enjoying an afternoon of fastballs, curveballs and changeups—compliments of Pampers® with Dry Max—Super Bowl XLIV MVP quarterback Drew Brees(i) and his toddler son, Baylen, were on the field at Yankee Stadium prior to yesterday's game to celebrate Father's Day. Brees proves he is not only a Most Valuable Player, but also an "MVD" (Most Valuable Dad) as he took young Baylen on the field – this time a baseball field – before the big game. Together, father and son interacted with players during batting practice and even threw out the first pitch to kick off the game.

Baylen's dad proves again that he is a natural at parenting. "More dads are taking an active role in parenting, which includes diaper duty, among other meaningful bonding activities. Pampers with Dry Max is high-performance gear, and I am always looking for that high-performance, whether it's on the field or off, especially now that we have two children in diapers come fall," Brees said.
Pampers recently commissioned a study(ii) in which dads said that they do their fair share of parenting dirty work when it comes to diaper changing. In fact, 80 percent of dads queried said that they either do most of the diaper changing in the house, or an equal share of it. The survey also revealed that 76 percent of dads said that they partake in parenting responsibilities, including diaper care, more than their own fathers did. Also, six (6) in 10 dads polled said that they should continue to change diapers on Father's Day just to show what great fathers they are.
The Yankees game was a culmination of the Father's Day activities geared toward "today's dad." Pampers executed a special "Daddy Play Date" in New York City, on June 17, 2010, where celebrity dads and local dads alike were honored for their active roles with Diaper Duty and cheering on their "VIB's" or Very Important Babies. Celebrity parents including Joel Madden, Gilles Marini, Bethenny Frankel and Shawn and Marlon Wayans joined local dads as they tested their competitive skills at toddler-friendly versions of baseball, basketball and tennis, while taking breaks to recharge in the "Diaper Dug Out" and "Daddy Skybox Lounge."
New Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max features game-changing benefits for babies and their families, as the diapers are 20 percent thinner than before and two times drier, as they help lock in wetness better than Huggies Little Snugglers/Movers. Pampers Dry Max is the No.1 premium diaper in United States(iii), and is the brand's biggest innovation in 25 years. It uses the same type of proven and tested materials as other Pampers diapers, but is applied in a new, more effective way. As a result, Pampers with Dry Max are Pampers' driest diapers ever, as they help lock in wetness. Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max diapers are also 20 percent thinner than before – helping give baby freedom to move and play with all-around softness to help keep them comfortable.
