Palm Beach Marine Flea Market and Seafood Festival Supports Forgotten Soldiers Outreach
PALM BEACH, Fla., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ --The Palm Beach Marine Flea Market and Seafood Festival will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 26 – 28, 2010 at The Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. To encourage support of US troops serving overseas, free admission will be offered to visitors on Friday, Feb. 26, who bring a donation to show their support of U.S. servicemen and servicewomen. A disposable camera, 3 foil bags of tuna, or a bag of beef jerky are all items that will entitle visitors to free admission on that day. General admission without a donation is $7 for adults, and children under 12 are free.
Volunteers for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, a national 501(c )(3) tax exempt charitable organization, will be present to collect items on Friday and will have a booth all three days of the festival to encourage visitors to write letters to our soldiers and get involved in their efforts by sending monthly "We Care" packages full of that "little bit of home". These efforts will ensure that our military personnel have not been forgotten. Many of our troops are on their 5th, 6th, and even 7th deployment and it is important that they know they are valued and remembered by those of us they are serving to protect.
The Marine Flea Market and Seafood Festival will feature hundreds of vendor booths offering marine bargains including fishing and diving equipment, new and used boats, nautical antiques and collectibles, arts and crafts, furniture, jewelry, apparel and much, much more. In addition to marine bargains galore, delicious seafood and even some landlubber delights will be available for visitors to enjoy. Live music will provide festival atmosphere and entertainment throughout the three day event. The Palm Beach Kennel Club is located at 1111 N Congress Ave, West Palm Beach, Fla. with easy access from I-95 and The FL turnpike. There is plenty of free parking available.
