Outsourcing Institute Names AltexSoft, Capgemini, Dell and Parasoft Winners of the 2014 Best Outsourcing Thought Leadership (BOTL) Awards
NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Outsourcing Institute today announced that AltexSoft, Capgemini, Dell and Parasoft have been named the winners of this year's Best Outsourcing Thought Leadership (BOTL) Awards for BPO Innovation. The BOTL Awards highlight the most innovative business process outsourcing (BPO) work from providers across the outsourcing industry. They recognize the best thought leadership pieces that showcase real world use cases that encompass innovation, creativity and results within their existing client engagement. The Awards are to be presented at the upcoming BPO Innovations Conference being held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 in New York City.
A judging panel of eight senior sourcing executives and business decision makers from Fortune 1000 enterprises selected the BOTL Award winners in each award category: Speed, Cost Reduction, Innovation and Best in Show. Each case study submission was evaluated on its purpose - client's concern, issues and tasks, the significance/innovation of the case study approach and solution, the results, and positive effects to the client's bottom line.
Fast and Furious – Speed
AltexSoft & VueWise - AltexSoft helped startup VueWise develop its technological strategy to bring to market a sales territory coverage product. A comprehensive concept-to-deployment project, with a very short timeframe to market, AltexSoft provided a complete turnkey solution, from concept to deployment, in 90 days, ahead of deadline. The product's extensible design enabled the company to make adjustments based on market demand and achieve annual growth of 300 percent.
Show me the money - Cost Reduction
Capgemini & Client - Capgemini developed a highly efficient and innovative solution for vendor ledger analyses and payment recovery, enabling their client to collect an additional 1 million Euros. The project has also helped analyze internal controls within the AP process and enabled the right control mechanisms to be implemented. The collaboration between the client and Capgemini serves as a great example of a partnership that drives value beyond transaction processing, contributing to business strategy while proactively managing risk, control and compliance.
From Good to Great –Innovation
Dell & Client - Dell has automated critical business processes using Dell Automated Full-Time Employees (AFTEs). Dell's AFTEs cost less than one-third of the price of an onshore full-time employee (FTE), increase efficiencies, improve accuracy, and leverage embedded industry knowledge. The AFTE solution is able to automate complex processes such as medical coding, claims adjudication, repetitive data entry or rules based data capture, finance & accounting, including accounts receivable management while improving speed to market and an estimated 10–15 percent improvement of productivity and quality.
Best in Show
Parasoft & NEC – Parasoft's Development Testing Platform helped NEC to automate their code analysis and review process across multiple distributed teams. Intricate manual reviews of 8-10,000 lines of application code would take senior level engineers 10-15 hours on average to complete. Today, the same work can be achieved within two to three hours by junior team members. Parasoft's procedures and applications have helped NEC reduce time and cost considerably, by implementing innovative applications and process methods.
"The BPO industry buyers and advisors have made themselves clear: they are looking for innovation; end-to-end, differentiated and value-driven innovation from their service providers," said Frank Casale, founder of The Outsourcing Institute. "We congratulate this year's BOTL Award winners who have truly proven to the marketplace that they have indeed met this challenge in unique, exemplary and highly measurable ways."
"Together with the entire judging committee, I heartily congratulate this year's winners of the BOTL Awards," said Kenneth Mantione, President & CEO, MANOR Communities Development Company and head of the BOTL Judging Committee. "These real world use case examples exemplify the kind of innovative BPO partnerships that come from service providers who take on the challenges of their customers to delight, surprise and deliver measurable value."
