Outside Magazine Ranks MINDBODY Among 'The 50 Best Places to Work'

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y., May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Outside magazine just released its May issue, ranking MINDBODY number 40 on its annual list of The 50 Best Places to Work.

Workplaces were evaluated on a variety of criteria, including the extent to which they embraced green practices, involvement in community organizations, company culture, the availability of onsite wellness activities, access to outdoor activities, and opportunities for advancement.

Employees of participating companies were asked to complete an extensive, confidential satisfaction survey, implemented by Best Companies Group, a Pennsylvania-based research firm. The winning companies were those who best enabled employees to balance productivity with an active, eco-conscious lifestyle.

Among the factors that contributed to the award is MINDBODY's membership in the San Luis Obispo Bicycle Coalition, which provides employees access to free bikes to use during the workday to exercise or run errands. The company also sponsors many wellness-oriented programs for its 173 staff, such as weekly in-house massages, yoga, Pilates and circuit training. Employees also receive $50 in wellness vouchers each month that they can use at a variety of local organizations. In addition, the company operates in a building that meets LEED standards, utilizing cork flooring, recycled-content office accents, natural ventilation, and water conservation.
