HARRISBURG, Pa., April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Farmers Open Air Market will return to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center on Tuesday, May 1, providing area residents and visitors an opportunity to purchase locally grown food directly from producers.
The market will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday until November. A variety of PA Preferred™ registered vendors will offer in-season fruits and vegetables, dairy products, bakery items, cut flowers and bedding plants.
"Farmers markets throughout the state provide consumers direct access to Pennsylvania's diverse agriculture industry and delicious products," said Agriculture Secretary George Greig. "Buying PA Preferred products helps support our farmers and businesses, while making investments in local economies and keeping Pennsylvania growing. PA Preferred makes a difference."
