Orlans Law Firm Not Involved in Robosigning
TROY, Mich., July 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently Marshall Isaacs, an attorney in the Orlans law firm, has wrongfully come under attack as an alleged "robosigner" of mortgage related foreclosure documents. The attack was initiated by a former sub prime mortgage broker — who is a blogger and self styled activist — now operating what appears to be an unlicensed private investigation company. He encourages people to use his organization and his "Trusted Attorneys" under the marketing premise of saving their home. These attacks are unfounded and are gross misrepresentations about Orlans and Mr. Isaacs.
Unfortunately these false allegations have now been picked up by the mainstream media with little or no scrutiny of the source of the allegations or research into their factual basis. No facts have been proffered to support any of the unfounded allegations against Mr. Isaacs or Orlans.
A recent review of robosigning done by a consumer advocate and cited as authoritative by a Massachusetts' county register of deeds found no evidence or support for the allegations that Mr. Isaacs or Orlans were involved in this activity.
Today, Orlans clarified the issue and confirmed its commitment to cooperate fully with any public official regarding this allegation.
Linda Orlans, President and CEO, said:
"Orlans is not, and has never been, involved in robosigning. At no time has the firm or Marshall Isaacs designated anyone to sign his name. To date, Orlans has not received any request or even been contacted by any law enforcement or government agency regarding the unfounded accusations being made. Despite statements to the contrary, no attorney in our office has ever been the subject of an official investigation regarding the accusations. We take great pride in our work and the reputation we have earned for the past 13 years for ethical representation of our clients, including the assistance we offer people experiencing a financial crisis.
