OpTier Records 115% Revenue Growth; Recognized as Business Transaction Management Leader
Company Enables IT Staff to Take Control of Critical Business Application Performance
NEW YORK, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- OpTier®, the leader in Business Transaction Management(TM) (BTM) for the enterprise, today announced that the company recorded significant revenue growth for the second half of 2009, as well as 115 percent revenue growth year-over-year with sales to many new and existing customers. The company also continued to innovate with the introduction of OpTier Experience Manager, a powerful end user monitoring product. Maintaining its leadership position in BTM, the company rounded out the year with accolades from a leading analyst firm and an industry-recognized customer award.
In the second half of 2009, OpTier added new customers and broadened its relationships with existing customers – 50 percent of which come from Fortune's Global 1,000 – seeing large organizations such as Morgan Stanley planning to adopt its software companywide. In September, Morgan Stanley recognized OpTier with an Innovation Award at its 9th Annual CTO Summit.
Customer traction continued to grow in the second half of 2009 with increased penetration of existing verticals, such as financial services, retail and insurance. The company also made strides with new customers in the manufacturing and telecommunications industries.
The analyst community lauded OpTier again in 2009 for its continued leadership in the market it pioneered, the strength of its offerings and the value it delivers to customers. In two separate reports, Forrester Research named OpTier a Hot Vendor in Business Service Management and said that the company is "On Fire." An October 2009 Forrester report titled "Tech Horizons: OpTier, A Step Towards Business Service Management (BSM) 2.0," states, "the CoreFirst BTM concept is an answer to the end-to-end transaction management requirements that have been nagging IT operations for a long time." The report also commends OpTier for its granular transaction view and ease of implementation noting that while some APM solutions are capable of monitoring and tracking transactions, "they rarely provide a quick and accurate root cause analysis."
OpTier continued its research and development in 2009 and in September added to its product portfolio with the launch of OpTier Experience Manager, a product that measures the volume, performance, service levels and availability of all business transactions, alerts IT in real time to developing issues and provides ongoing reporting and analysis of the user experience. The product, when combined with OpTier's CoreFirst is the first to deliver an end-to-end solution for both end user monitoring and transaction management in a single solution that manages the entire transaction from the end user through every tier of the data center.
"2009 was a stand out year of growth for OpTier as we saw our customers broaden their adoption of CoreFirst on critical applications and we extended our offering with the addition of OpTier Experience Manager to improve the end-user experience," said Israel Mazin, CEO of OpTier. "We've experienced continued momentum in the beginning of 2010 and expect this will increase as companies try to manage application performance in increasingly complex IT environments including SOA, virtualization and cloud computing architectures."
