OpenPeak Adds AT&T, Deutsche Telekom & BlackBerry to SECTOR Network Secure Application Ecosystem
SECTOR Adopted as a Global Standard for Enterprise Application Security
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- 2014 INTERNATIONAL CES – OpenPeak today announced the addition of AT&T, Deutsche Telekom and BlackBerry to the growing number of service providers, developers and OEMs offering the SECTOR® Network of secure business applications to their enterprise customers. The Florida-based company, a leading provider of enterprise-class mobile device and application management solutions, made the announcement at the 2014 International CES going on now through Jan. 10 in Las Vegas.
The SECTOR Network is an application ecosystem of popular business apps wrapped with added security features and IT management capabilities to meet the stringent needs of enterprise IT. By adopting this global standard for enterprise app security, mobile management solutions such as AT&T Toggle, BlackBerry's Secure Work Space for iOS and Android managed through BES 10, and Deutsche Telekom SAMBA! can offer a growing selection of manageable pre-secured apps to enterprise subscribers. With the SECTOR Network, enterprise users may simply download apps from popular public app stores to devices running secure mobile management solutions offered by SECTOR Network Partners. The SECTOR Network ensures these apps have been authorized by enterprise IT administrators to ensure a fully managed, secure environment.
Developers who submit apps to be wrapped for the SECTOR Network can now reach this expanding market of enterprise customers who use services provided by SECTOR Network partners. Once the app is wrapped for SECTOR, it will run across the SECTOR Network on any device that has been authorized by IT administrators, eliminating the need to individually wrap the app for each provider or enterprise.
Using an injectable code available free to developers, SECTOR wraps applications with added security features and management controls without having to use an SDK or recompile the original app. Developers can then submit their securely wrapped application to public app stores where it is made available for download.
The SECTOR Network's growing list of popular business apps provides secured and managed access to mobile corporate applications through apps including ISEC7 Mobility for SAP, iAnnotate Enterprise, harmon.ie, Averail Access, OfficeSuite and Polaris Office who join previously announced partners Box, bigtincan, MindLink, Splashtop, and many others. Supported capabilities continue to expand to include secure file access, mobile communications, document editing, PDF annotation, CRM/ERP, cloud storage and more.
"We're very proud that major enterprise product and service companies like AT&T, Deutsche Telekom and BlackBerry have chosen to offer the SECTOR Network as part of their solutions for secure enterprise mobility management," said Dan Gittleman, CEO of OpenPeak. "The SECTOR Network will continue to grow and evolve based on the needs of employees who demand the most powerful applications in order to succeed in their jobs, and IT administrators who are responsible for their company's data security."
