Oce Business Services Introduces Oce MPS Managed Print Services
Oce Rebrands and Extends its Current Fleet Management Service
NEW YORK, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Oce Business Services, a leading provider of document process outsourcing services and technology, today announced Oce MPS, a rebranded and significantly enhanced version of the company's current Oce Universal Fleet Management service. The new offering provides enterprises with optimized utilization of document output equipment, better control of document-related expenses and improved operating efficiency. The net impact is a marked reduction in the total cost of office print/copy, which is estimated at three percent of revenue according to such industry analysts as Gartner, IDC and InfoTrends.
Single, Accountable Source
Oce MPS provides organizations with a single, accountable source for their office document production. This includes copiers, printers, scanners, fax, and wide format printers, regardless of brand, service provider and ownership status. Oce MPS is an integrated managed document output service. The service includes dynamic assessment, pro-active maintenance, call center support, and Oce's print infrastructure management tools that provide remote monitoring, as well as automated fleet assessment and call center operations.
Together these services optimize an organization's full scope, long-term document production environment including managing desktop and networked multi-function devices; deploying onsite tech and key-op support; collecting meter reads; implementing equipment migration and end-user training; furnishing data collection for trend, cost, and performance analysis, and more.
Special Features
Assessment and performance management are two special features of Oce MPS. Assessment is provided by an enhanced version of Oce Document Needs Assessment (Oce DNA), which, combining consultative services and technology, automates the design and management of a managed print services solution. Oce DNA helps to ensure a more accurate assessment for potentially re-sizing the fleet, and can accelerate the assessment and design process by up to 77 percent.
Continuous fleet performance monitoring and operational improvement is provided by the Oce MAX™ Advanced document performance management system. Oce MAX features near-real-time performance feedback; customizable, dynamic reports based on the client's input; and customizable dashboards including "stop light" performance management of critical metrics.
"Assessing, optimizing, managing and continuously improving a diverse fleet is a process that most organizations find challenging," said Joseph R. Marciano, president and CEO of Oce Business Services. "Oce MPS offers an outsourced solution that can meet these goals and help companies leverage fleet management as an opportunity to reduce printing costs and improve efficiency."
