NYPD Police Band's First Leg to Hanoi
TOKYO, Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Since 1996, Mainichi Newspapers has been organizing the annually held World Police Band Concert around the world. The Concert, reaching capital cities like Tokyo, Paris, Rome, Berlin, New York, etc., enables police bands from various countries to cultivate exchange in promoting civilian safety-of-life through music, and this world-wide event has been successful.
Coming up, police bands from Tokyo, Seoul, New York and host of Hanoi will line up for the 16th World Police Band Concert to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Hoan Kiem Lake Parade will start at 9 A.M., which will be performed around the lake on 23 Oct, and another concert will be followed at the famous Opera House the next day on 24 Oct starting at 6:30 P.M.
The star, NYPD Police Band is not only performing in Vietnam, but also in Japan. The members will be dropping by Koriyama City in Fukushima Prefecture first with its upbeat marching band songs. Performances in Japan will be held on 20 Oct at the Koriyama Women's University and at the Tsunami Evacuation Center on 21 Oct.
