The NSA Day of Cyber LifeJourney provides educators a ready to use tool to bring Cybersecurity into their classrooms and connect students to their future.
"Reports show that there are 100,000's of unfilled STEM jobs in Cyber. Cyber skills are in high demand in banking, communications, law, transportation, healthcare, e-commerce, Mobile, social media and numerous others," remarked Rick Geritz, CEO of LifeJourney. "The challenge for the nation is that the lack of awareness of what these jobs are and what skills students need to pursue them."
Pat Mikos, Program Manager in the Division of Career and College Readiness, MSDE stated that "We are excited to share the NSA Day of Cyber in our schools so Maryland students learn about some of the most in-demand careers in our state. This experience allows them to explore what it means to be a cyber professional and the career opportunities open to those interested. The 'Day of Cyber' experience will ignite student interest across the U.S. and help fill the pipeline for companies and government agencies that are searching for talent."
