North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School Student Awarded Scholarship from Teachers' Insurance Plan of NJ
Adam Fisher receives $1,000 scholarship from Quotes for Cash program
RED BANK, N.J., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Adam Fisher was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Teachers' Insurance through Quotes for Cash, a unique fundraising program that helps New Jersey schools raise money. North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District is a participant in this program, and graduating senior, Adam Fisher was one of five exceptional students across New Jersey to receive this honor.
Adam's academic accomplishment truly impressed the Quotes for Cash Scholarship panel of judges. Despite a demanding curriculum full of honors and advanced placement courses, Adam still managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA. What really made Adam stand out was his dedication to community service. He has donated his own time through programs such as the American Red Cross, Key Club and peer mentoring. Plus, as a three-term Class President he led his classmates to raise awareness of cancer, fundraise for the school and facilitate school events.
"It is especially rewarding for us at Teachers' Insurance to see how our partnership programs with schools across the state can make a difference," stated Marc V. Buro, President of Teachers Auto Insurance Company of New Jersey. "I was very impressed with Adam's scholastic and community service credentials. We are honored to be able to acknowledge his accomplishments with our scholarship award," said Buro.
With Quotes for Cash, money is donated to a school's dedicated fund every time an employee gets a free quote on New Jersey car insurance from Teachers' Insurance. In addition to these contributions, Teachers' Insurance annually awards five $1,000 scholarships to students of participating Quotes for Cash schools.
