North Carolina Providers Implement Therap's Health Information Exchange Tools for Sharing Healthcare Data
Developmental Disability software allows for sharing healthcare data with local exchange by adhering to Meaningful Use standards
RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap is aligned with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services in their initiative to utilize Health information technology. Therap's developmental disability software includes HL7 compliant Health Information Exchange (HIE) interface that allows providers to send health care data on Therap to their local exchange. With Therap's HIE features, providers can easily track, access and securely share individual's' vital health information, allowing for enhanced person centered supports.
Therap is also an ONC certified Electronic Health Record that meets the standards for Meaningful Use. Therap adheres to data privacy and protection principles defined by industry-specific methodologies such as HIPAA/HITECH and ONC HIT Certification Program. Therap's comprehensive system includes various modules that allow for secure exchange of healthcare data with external providers via multiple platforms. Therap's Pharmacy interface allows for receiving pharmacy messages from pharmacies directly in HL7 format which then integrate with the Medication History module on Therap. Users have flexibility as to how the information is managed and recorded on the Therap system.
Therap's secure messaging tools allow for HIPAA compliant sharing of individual information across agencies. Users can attach various files and individual specific plans, forms and reports from other Therap modules through SComm messages. The forms that are shared follow Therap's security protocols and only the recipients with appropriate privileges are able to open these attachments.
Additionally, Therap Billing tools have the ability to interface with state systems for sending Medicaid claims in ANSI X12 837 format. Therap is a Billing Agent with multiple Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) across various states including North Carolina.
