Award Honors Cyber Security Practitioners that are Succeeding in the Fight Against Cyber Attackers

BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced nominations are now being accepted for the SANS 2015 Difference Makers Awards. The SANS Difference Makers Awards celebrate individuals, team and groups who implemented security processes or technology in 2015 that resulted in meaningful and measurable advances in security.

"There are thousands of security practitioners out there who are quietly succeeding and making breakthroughs in advancing security and enabling business, unfortunately we rarely hear about these successes.   • Mitigating Advanced Threats
  • Securing the Human
  • Vertical Industry Difference Makers: ICS, Healthcare, Government, etc.

Winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony held December 15th at the SANS Cyber Defense Initiative Training Event in Washington, D.C.
