NII's Nextel Subsidiaries Chosen as One of the Best Places to Work in the Region by the Great Place to Work® Institute
RESTON, Va., May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- NII Holdings Inc., (NASDAQ: NIHD), a differentiated provider of mobile communication services operating under the Nextel brand in Latin America, announced today it has been named one of the best places to work among multinationals in Latin America by the Great Place to Work® Institute (GPTW) for the second consecutive year. The list of the top 25 multinational companies, based on 11 national Best Workplaces studies in Latin America, was announced May 29, 2013 in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The survey includes multinationals that have been recognized in at least three national lists within Latin America in the past year, have at least 1,000 employees globally, and have 40 percent of its global workforce working outside the home country. This study is the largest of workplace practice studies of its kind. To prepare this global ranking Great Place to Work® assessed the local results of employee satisfaction surveys and the results of audits analyzing the companies' human resources policies and practices among other sources.
This is NII Holdings' second appearance on the Top 25 Best Places to Work among Multinationals in Latin America. This recognition confirms the company's already strong reputation for implementing leading workplace practices in Latin America. The company has also been named a top place to work in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru in 2011 by the Great Place to Work® Institute and several other premier workplace organizations and media outlets.
