NewLeads Offers a Point-of-Sale Ordering System Reducing Customer Wait Time at Trade Shows by 80%
VENTURA, Calif., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- NewLeads, Inc. announces the launch of their innovative "show order system" (SOS), a new product used by exhibitors for point-of-sale and order taking at B2B tradeshows and B2C events. SOS is a rapid deployment software system enabling exhibitors to sell items in their booth or take orders. Items can be scanned or looked up, reseller information can be attached to orders, credit card information can be securely entered, and receipts or invoices can print automatically.
The time it takes to place an order on the show floor with SOS reduces customer wait times by 80% (from 10 min. on average to only 2 min.), and eliminates the sales leakage that occurs if people must otherwise wait to place an order. Using NewLeads tradeshow badge scanning technology, customer contact data is automatically merged into each order.
SOS in Use
NewLeads' SOS has been in test use since early 2009 by several NewLeads customers, including publishing giant John Wiley & Sons, dental supply company Kuraray, and several construction industry exhibitors. With SOS, handwritten paper orders and potential exposure of credit card numbers are eliminated. SOS encrypts all credit card numbers, whether hand-keyed or swiped, in compliance with new state purchasing regulations. The paperless SOS increases efficiency, does its part towards a cleaner planet, and also reduces the potential for identity theft. All SOS orders are transmitted by secure email from the booth to the exhibitor's order processing department.
SOS is a turn-key solution completely managed by NewLeads and delivered to the exhibitor's tradeshow booth as needed. Exhibitors provide key information such as product lists, descriptions, price and dealer information, discount structures, and sales tax, which NewLeads account managers use to create a custom POS system.
Diane Imus, Exhibits Director, North America for John Wiley Publishing said, "this system has allowed us to focus our sales efforts and has provided the tools to measure success where it had not been done before while protecting our customer's data, which is of paramount importance to Wiley."
John Wiley Publishing staff considers this system a large component of a solid, integrated post-show plan, e-Marketing campaigns, and qualified lead generation.
John Wiley Publishing staff used to spend hours resolving post-show orders, often having extensive problems with invalid part or credit card numbers. This system removed the need to contact the customer and fill in any missing information.
Works With Popular Backend Systems
SOS is customized to interface directly with many popular backend Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or order entry systems. Now there is no need to re-key show data. In the past, if exhibitors used rudimentary systems provided by show management, they were often unable to transfer the information into their company's sales order systems due to data system incompatibilities. NewLeads' SOS, however, works in reverse by adhering to the needs of the exhibitors' backend systems.
Familiarity with and confidence in NewLeads' software, as well as the product's ability to work with popular sales order applications, have made it easy for NewLeads' existing software customers to adopt SOS.
Pricing and Availability
NewLeads' SOS is available in the United States and Europe, offered through their offices in Ventura, California. A single show system is available for as low as $2,000 (U.S.) MSRP. The investment includes software customized to the order-entry needs of the user and an IBM Anyplace Kiosk with touch screen technology.
