See these LIVE low-latency, high-performance demonstrations in booth #237
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Newisys, a Sanmina (Nasdaq: SANM) product division, today announced it will be showing a number of its new NVMe-based flash storage systems at Super Compute 2017 (Denver, CO November 14-16, booth #237). Newisys offers a range of products with multiple NVMe drive connection capabilities including direct-attach, JBOF, NVMe over Ethernet, and server-based systems.
Newisys NVMe-based Platforms
NDS2244 – The Newisys® NDS-2244 2RU NVMe PCIe flash array (JBOF) has twenty-four 2.5" drive bays. This storage expansion flash array provides high bandwidth and low latency access for up to twenty-four servers and includes dual-path drive connectivity. Connectivity to servers is via copper or fiber optic cable.
NDS22482F – The Newisys® NDS22482F is a 2RU NVMe over fabric (NVMeoF) product offering high bandwidth and low latency, supporting twenty-four PCIe NVMe drives accessible using NVMeoF protocol across six 100Gbps ports. It provides access to the high performance of the NVMe drives over the network with virtually no latency or performance penalty.
NSS2247 – The Newisys® NSS-2247 is a 2RU NVMe/PCIe solid state flash array quad server combining twenty-four NVMe PCIe drives with four dual-socket Intel Xeon™ class servers. The NSS-2247 provides ultra low latency access to the flash array while supporting up to 8 x 100Gb Ethernet connectivity. It supports dynamic reconfiguration of the NVMe drives and hot plug to the four servers in order to best match data traffic requirements. Each pair of server modules can be mirrored via a link x16 non-transparent bridge.
NSS1160G-2N – The Newisys® NDS-1160 is a 1RU, dual-node flexible configuration storage server. This platform supports industry-standard storage drives ranging from 3.5" HDD to 2.5" SATA/SAS SSD and U2 2.5" PCIe NVMe. The drive interface is defined by a custom expansion card or add-on standard host bus adapters featuring either SAS IO controllers or PCIe re-timers. Each server supports up to two standard PCIe add-on cards and one OCP format card.
"Our customers have responded very favorably to the record-setting performance of these products, achieving 15 million IOPS and 75 GB/s with minimal latency," said Eugene McCabe, EVP of Newisys. "Our platforms scale vertically and horizontally, giving customers maximum flexibility in how they deploy their next-generation NVMe-based architectures."
