New Video: Mother Tells Story of Daughter's Murder at Hands of Illegal Alien

WASHINGTON, Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The cold-blooded murder of 22-year-old Shayley Estes, at the hands of Russian illegal alien Igor Zubko, is the subject of a new video produced by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

"Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime," said FAIR President Dan Stein. "More often than not, those in favor of mass immigration attempt to sweep that fact under the carpet," he said. "But we refuse to let that happen."

The video features a moving testimonial by Shannon Estes, Shayley's mother, who discusses the tragic loss of her daughter and the heartbreak her family suffered after her daughter alerted police that she was being stalked by Zubko, who was in the United States on an expired visa. Shannon recounts the final days of Shayley's life, noting "here she is at the courthouse, telling them his visa is expired and he's threatening my life. He's not supposed to be in our country and he's threatening my life," she said. Instead, on July 24, 2015, Zubko ambushed Shayley in her home, shooting her multiple times until she died, she explains.

The video is part of a new series that highlights and archives the stories of Americans whose lives have been cut short or damaged forever by criminals who easily exploit uncontrolled immigration and wide open borders. The archives contain numerous accounts of the innocent victims of illegal immigration dating back more than a decade.

Other recent additions to the library include the story of Tessa Tranchant, a 16-year-old from Virginia Beach who, along with her friend Ali Kunhardt, was killed by an illegal alien drunk driver who was on the streets after multiple convictions because of local sanctuary policies. Also newly added is a moving interview with the mother of 21-year-old Sarah Root, the Nebraska woman who had graduated from college with a degree in criminal investigations the day before she was hit and killed by an illegal alien who was drag racing. Her killer, Eswin Mejia, an illegal alien from Honduras, posted bond and was never seen again.

"While these cases are certainly not representative of the illegal alien population in general, they clearly demonstrate that better prevention of illegal immigration is a public safety issue of the highest priority," said Stein.
