SOUTHHAMPTON, Bermuda, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting April 1, The Reefs will launch a new weekly entertainment series, the "Stir It Up Cocktail Series", that features expert mixologists providing personal instruction on cocktail creation techniques of the pros. The first of its kind for Bermuda, the "Stir It Up Cocktail Series" is an interactive experience that will feature a different cocktail style or technique each week, including hands-on practice by participants.

Participation in the "Stir It Up Cocktail Series" is free to The Reefs overnight guests as well as non-hotel guests.
The sessions are designed to be stand-alone instruction, with no prior skills or mixology knowledge required. Weekly topics will change each session and focus on seasonal ingredients and beverage styles. Topics will include:
- Mad Bad Mojito's – Classic & Flavored Mojitos
- Wastin' away again… - Classic & Flavored Margaritas
- How do you spell that? – Classic & Flavored Caipirinha's
- Meet Tom Collins –Classic & Flavored Tom Collins'
- That's a daiquiri?! – Fresh Classic & Flavored Daiquiris
- The Cocktail with Many Faces - The Old Fashioned
- Stirred, not shaken – Classic Martini, Negroni & Manhattan
- Kicks like a Mule – Gingerbeer Cocktails
- Cream of the Crop – Dairy/ Bailey's based Cocktails
Each month, the "Stir It Up" series will also include an Amateur Mixologist Challenge, where participants will compete to showcase their skills in specified cocktail preparations. A panel of judges will determine each month's winner and runners-up. Monthly finalists will be invited back to compete in a final "Stir It Up" Amateur Cocktail Challenge match in November.
The creation of the winner of the final "Stir It Up" Amateur Cocktail Challenge match will be featured all year at The Reefs as the official "Perfectly At Ease" signature cocktail for 2017. The winner will also receive their choice of a 5-night stay for two, or dinner for two each month at any of The Reefs' restaurants for an entire year.
The "Stir It Up" weekly series will take place every Friday at The Reefs beginning April 1 and run through October 28, 2016.
