New Hospital Gives Bahrainis Better Access to Services
MANAMA, Bahrain, Feb. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Yesterday, Bahrain inaugurated King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH), a state-of-the-art medical facility built to provide Bahraini citizens with a more robust healthcare system.
"We have the facilities to provide the best possible care to the country's residents and citizens according to the government's strategy," KHUH CEO Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatala Al Khalifa said.
The new hospital in Busaiteen will accept referrals from Bahrain's other government health facilities, easing demand and reducing wait times for patients.
At the opening yesterday, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa noted his "pride and admiration" for the "landmark achievement," and expressed his gratitude for those involved with the hospital's development.
