New 5-year GSA Contract Award Includes SteelCloud's Newest Patented STIG Remediation Technology
ConfigOS Now Provides XCCDF Output for Microsoft and Red Hat Linux Environments
ASHBURN, Va., April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SteelCloud LLC announced today that it has been awarded a new 5-year GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. Included on this contract are the newest configurations of ConfigOS, SteelCloud's patented STIG remediation technology for Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux. Standard government pricing is available through GSA Advantage.
ConfigOS greatly simplifies Information Assurance operations by combining high performance STIG scanning with automated STIG Remediation – both exceeding the capabilities provided by SCAP scanning. A single instance of ConfigOS scans up to 5,000 and remediates up to 3,000 endpoints per hour. Now with automatic XCCDF output, ConfigOS easily integrates with DISA's STIG Viewer. Enhancements also include STIG support for Windows 10 and Red Hat 7 (draft), as well as improvements in the Signature Builder that allows a user to create new secure application baselines in less than 60 minutes, versus days/weeks/months. ConfigOS is proving increasingly valuable to systems integrators in meeting their JSIG/RMF obligations.
"Our new GSA contract award is a testament to the quality of our preparation to do business with federal customers," said Brian Hajost, SteelCloud President and CEO. "While ConfigOS has always been easy to justify, now with standard GSA terms and pricing, it is easy for our federal customers to acquire. I am excited that we were able to include our newest tools to reduce STIG compliance cost and risk while significantly increasing our customers' agility to quickly respond to new threats and new application deployments."
ConfigOS is client-less technology, requiring that no software agents be loaded on endpoints. ConfigOS scans endpoint systems for hundreds of STIG controls in under 60 seconds and remediates endpoints in under 90 seconds. Automated remediation rollback as well as comprehensive compliance reporting are provided by the tool.
SteelCloud will be demonstrating ConfigOS STIG remediation at the 2016 AFCEA Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium in Washington D.C., April 20-22. Video demonstrations of ConfigOS Windows and Linux STIG remediation are available on the Company's website, www.steelcloud.com, under the "Demos" tab.
