Navy Federal Joins Forces With USO-Metro

VIENNA, Va., Sept. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Navy Federal Credit Union has announced the launch of its new corporate partnership with the USO of Metropolitan Washington (USO-Metro).  The new partnership kicked off August 29 at USO-Metro's lounge at BWI Airport, as Navy Federal executives and volunteers were on hand with USO-Metro executives to meet with deploying troops.

The partnership will help support vital programs including the USO-Metro's four airport lounges and Operation USO Care Package. "USO-Metro proudly operates four airport lounges in the Baltimore-Washington region and we are thankful to Navy Federal Credit Union for its support of these world-class centers," said Elaine Rogers, president of the USO of Metropolitan Washington.  During the past year USO-Metro airport lounges served 122,550 service members and their families, a significant increase over the previous year. Additionally, every year the USO distributes between 250,000 and 300,000 care packages, containing items such as international calling cards, disposable cameras and toiletries, to deployed service members.
